Marcona on Lyon is a restaurant featuring modern Mediterranean cuisine in Grand Rapids’ vibrant Midtown neighborhood. The restaurant takes flavor cues and profiles from all countries touching the Mediterranean, including Spain, Greece, Italy, and north Africa.
“Marcona” refers to a type of gourmet Spanish almond popular in Mediterranean dishes.
In addition to a wide range of savory skewers, sausages, chicken, and beef, Marcona on Lyon is very vegetarian- and vegan-friendly.
Marcona on Lyon also features a full bar serving beer, wine, and cocktails.

Matt serves as the executive chef of Marcona on Lyon. His wide ranging experience in the food industry has delighted his patrons for the past two decades. He’s well known for his work as a corporate chef, private chef, and executive chef. Matt is also board president of the Fulton Street Farmers Market.
Kameel owns and operates Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket Baking Company, and Lyon Street Cafe — all of which are conveniently in the same block as Marcona on Lyon.
